Family gatherings and birthdays in Chablis
A christening, a communion, a big birthday, a wedding nearby: the house becomes the family’s base camp for the weekend.
This is one of the most frequent uses of the house, and the visitors’ book records it: weddings celebrated around Chablis, communions, milestone birthdays. The house gathers those who travel far, instead of scattering them across three hotels.
What the house makes possible
- Six beds across three bedrooms, two of them with a private washbasin.
- A dining room for eight and a garden where a much longer table can be laid.
- A genuinely equipped kitchen, able to absorb the preparation of a celebration meal.
- A billiard room that keeps the cousins busy while the adults talk.
- Private parking inside the grounds, for several cars.
The house is let exclusively: you share neither the garden, nor the living rooms, nor the entrance.
An important point about capacity
The house is approved to sleep 6. It can, however, host more people during the day for a family meal: simply tell us how many guests to expect so that we can adapt the welcome and the garden furniture.
For a larger event we can point you towards other places to stay in the village for the rest of the party.
A family-gathering weekend
- Friday — the different branches of the family arrive through the evening, a simple dinner at the house, billiards.
- Saturday morning — Chablis market, then several pairs of hands preparing lunch in the big kitchen.
- Saturday lunch — the long table in the garden or the dining room, depending on the weather, with village wines.
- Saturday afternoon — a walk through the vines, or a cellar visit for those who want one.
- Sunday — a late breakfast, tidying up together and a late-morning departure.
